What did you do in the garden today?

Hardware cloth might be better. I may have anorexic wimpy mice and what not, but they can slip through chicken wire. I was going to set my raised beds on ground cloth, but I may put down hardware cloth first. How long does it take for wire to rust under those conditions?

Those are great ideas, though I probably won't put down cloth or fence 'cause of the large area. Still I can see it working to discourage the critters. Anorexic mice, hah!

Sold veggies at a farmers market for the first time ever today... It went well, excited for the next one.
Hurrrrrayyyyy!!!! DId you have to pay a fee to sell??? Ours charges a $350 per season fee.

No--normal mice !! THey can get thru almost anything!! Saw a chipmunk dive for the tiniest hole-- it struggled to get into it as fear was the driving force. He didnt realize I would not harm him as I think they are far cuter than mice, which I also find cute. Lots of chippies this year!!
And ya, mice just walk thru chicken wire. lol

Hardware cloth? It lasts a very long time. I pulled some up in the back yard that had been buried about 20 years. Still in good shape!

LOL
