Kids watered in the tomato transplants; planted scarlet runner beans; snap peas and now praying for rain tomorrow as forcasted. ( It usually misses us. )

I weeded and killed flea beetles.  Also, harvested arugula, parsley, cilantro and mint for a a nice lunchtime salad.  Also  deadheaded peonies, roses, pinks, and some annuals, 

Tell me about killing flea beetles please... I'm fighting them right now. Never seen them before. Tough little suckers...

Well its a new market so low traffic, but I'm hoping it gets bigger... A lot bigger... I'm the only one with produce so far.

Weeded until I noticed I had a blister on my finger that ripped an got packed with dirt. Figured I should stop then.

Smashed tiny grasshoppers. Neighbor tells me they might be bad this year because of all the May rain we had this year. Joy.

Worked with a few people we called Blister, they would show up when the work was done.




Picked a few tomatoes and peppers today. Going to try and get pumpkins planted this week. If time allows.

Our neighbors have a huge garden that was being overrun with grasshoppers. They asked what I did to keep the little monsters from eating our garden down and I calmly replied. "I have chickens.". They now have a dozen little peeps patrolling their garden.

Transplanted some Ozark Beauty strawberries into the garden this morning, as well as some marigolds in amongst the tomatoes. Finally counted how many maters I had actually set out and they number 51.

Also did a urine foliar spray on the plants that can use it right now.
