What did you do in the garden today?

Lol
Well I knew what it was about vchicks... Read about neem, used DE ( ran out ) using a Pyrethrum based spray and frost covers (then the little hoppers can't get away from the spray)
I've almost won

I know it's not from my garden but I peeled and put up 6 1/2 lbs of crawfish tails today

I never had a problem with flea beetles in all the years I had gardened... And then out of no where-This little army of devastation attacked and I had them for years after.
Apparently they like shade, love mulch and boc choy . Be sure to treat the mulch around the base of the plants as well. grow your calciferous plants is the sunniest part of your garden for a few years.

I ended up moving plots, but I know you have raised beds so that is not an option.

I think we brought ours in. We would drive around and pick up bags of leaves waiting for the refuse trucks on trash day, and use them for mulch. We should have composted them first.

The older I get the worse my eyesight gets, but my hind sight is getting sharper.

Still, nice harvest.

That is just a single snack pack...for some

Weeding watering and picking a few tomatoes and peppers. Zuccinis and cukes are forming the rattlesnake beans are flowering.
I have been trying cardboard/ paper feedsacks out. Going to plant pumkins this evening or in the morning. It is already 90 this morning.
Clean the chicken coop and i top the cardboard off with it. Got a couple spots that need a lot of help.
