What did you do in the garden today?

No, but he calls everyday to give me the count down.
I think finals are wearing him down.
He took some killer classes.

He wants to spend the month working in his black smith shed.... which is right next to my garden plot number two... which has a mountain of horse manure in it waiting to be spread.
So, he might be working next to instead of in his smithshed.

Young strong backs are valuable resources. All I have to do is say, 'I will make lasagna if you will help me do th-..' and boom, done deal.

an engineering school in upper New York,
I keep a Noaa weather bookmark on the computer for Albany, and yesterday he was only one degree cooler in the morning than we were.
He has not experienced the winter yet.
But he bought a sled. He figures if he keeps buying snow equipment he can keep winter away all year.

Hey....could be worse....he could have gone to Michigan Tech.....great engineering school but they get more snow there than I get.....he bought a sled?....Snowmobile?

Collected more leaves this week, placing them on the orchard. Found another poo source that's closer to my home but I have to load it, which is a HUGE loss....my old back is not what it used to be, so loading poop can take some time and the recovery time is considerable.

There's a couple of horses who live 1/4 mile from my house. I've been eyeing the growing mound of horse poo in their paddock with poop envy. Down side is the fact that I can not shovel poo up into my truck. However, I did see that the owner had a tractor with a bucket loader when I drove past today. I'll be visiting them in the spring!!!

No kidding that shoveling poo takes it out of us "seniors." Hope both of you find ways to requisition some manure without great physical harm. The garden loves it.

I have the stress of helping my son decide on votech or public school next fall--- he keeps using the engineering word but is really too young to fully understand the WIDE world of engineering . . . . .I'm secretly hoping he doesn't get in so he wont have a choice of schools.....the application process is reminiscent of college applications, and on that note I thought applying to the tech school would g3e good practice for college applications in another 3-4 years. Uggggg.
