What did you do in the garden today?

We moved from Northern North Dakota to Central California last May. I was pregnant and hated the heat with a passion all of last year! However now I have a beautiful garden up and sprouted and I am loving it! It rained today so I only got a quick peak but we have beets, broccoli, cauliflower, radishes, zucchini, bell peppers, strawberries, and 2 early girl tomatoes. Oh and all my California family members told me it was too cold to plant in February. California in February = North Dakota in May or June!
There is a huge difference between the two. In California we could grow nearly everything.

@jerryse , I thought I saw where you had planted carrots by gluing them to a paper towel. Was this you? If so could you refresh my memory on how to plant them please Sir?
I bought some carrot seeds and would like to try them again. I have tried a few time without any luck. TIA

We just took some generic paper towels and used some Elmer's glue and made dots of glue on the towel and picked the seeds up with a toothpick with a touch of glue on the pick and rolled them on the "mat". I hope this helps.

I have rooted roses, creeping phlox, angel trumpet, and a few other things but native azalea is hard. I will also root some coleus. My hardy hibiscus were started from seed. I also started coleus from seed so I will just start the ones I like from cuttings.
