So I thought I'd have some fun and do a side by side germination comparasion with some seed from a few tomatoes that where picked green and ripened on the counter VS seeds from vine ripened tomatoes and the results are pretty interesting, these were all started on the 5th, so 4 days ago and here's the tally, green tomato #1 4 out of 6 seeds have sprouted, green tomato #2 1 out of 6, vine ripened seeds, 1 out of 6.

The green tomato seeds were collected that day, the vine ripe are a few months old.
