What did you do in the garden today?

I did go out and shoveled guinea poo. Then i planted the confederate rose. Started raining again. But that whatever it is has been at the garden and ate my plants has been at it again, even with the fence wired with electric. Even the marigolds are not immune. It is very demoralizing. Maybe i will build a totally enclosed area for next year.
It would be easier to just fence in each enclosed bed and have doors that swing open to pick stuff and pull weeds. Pretty desperate situation. My garden is going from bad to worse.

Got back from taking my son to the dentist and the crepe myrtles had arrived. Got an extra, they're in some water in the sink then outside to the patio for early morning planting. Overwatered the grapes, moved three wheel barrows of dirt and another full of rocks. Hubs is going to help me with getting bulk trash out tomorrow morning, can't wait to get that done! Getting new tubes and tires put on Frankenwagon, he needs a paint job too at some point, and the doggie door is finally getting done.

I picked green beans in the rain today. We desperately need rain, so I was thankful for it. Tonight, those beans are finishing their time in the pressure cooker. This makes 17 pints so far, and I still have the yard long and the blue lakes to go.

The 2 BE cockerels have been sent to jail. Those boys are not playing nice. I do hope they learn some manners before fall, as I want to keep one. But, I'd rather have a flock without a roo than put up with their foolishness. Though I do have a broody buster cage. Nah... no way would I consider keeping a roo in a cage.

No way, there is no where it could have a tunnel opening inside the garden. It is fairly small and there is very little vegetation. I know every inch, there is no tunnel. But it must be climbing the fence under neath the hot wire. In my opinion, there are not enough posts so the fence is sort of loose. I am about two thirds done pouring rocks over the ground to keep anything from tunneling in. But no evidence of that either.
