What did you do in the garden today?

Arvested some nice butternuts the other day.

Now I have 3-4 ounces of seed, that’s approximately 750-900 seeds.

You must live in a better climate banana would never make it here :lau I am bad girl as I call crookneck but they are butternut that are prolific here this year my darn pumpkin are shot 1 tiny little one but taking a lead from a friend here I will plant my pumpkin here but cover with plastic over newspaper for the winter, compared to mine hers where fabulous

I’m down in south Alabama.
Lol, nice, my butternuts went crazy this year. My pumpkins didn’t do too well either.

There are many types of pumpkins . Some in all 4 branches of the squash family . If butternut does well try Dickinson pumpkins . They are the ones the canning factories around here grow . They are in the same group as Butternut . No boer problems on these .

bought a better brand to start mine this winter as I am in Mossyrock Washington state zip is 98564 long ways away

Ok, I’ll look into them. I don'tknow what I have, just randomly saved seeds :p They grew well, got big 30’ plants but only one or two pumpkins. Yeah, I didn’t have any problems with borers or blight on the butternut.
