Lazy, unfortunately, I cannot pick them up locally. The variety I want to grow (Cascadia; which I found grows well here where other varieties haven't and produces the sweetest pea pods I've ever had) is fairly uncommon. I have found other places to order from, but only a few and they are expensive plus I would have to pay extra for shipping because I don't have enough seeds left to order to meet minimum free shipping costs. If I order from somewhere else I would spend something like $18-25 on pea seed instead of the $7 I spent buying it with my other seeds. At that point, I might as well just buy a couple bag of organic pea pods and eat those!
I have a backup variety to interplant with my corn (mostly for nitrogen) just in case the Cascadias don't show up. But I will be really bummed to be growing less tasty peas.
