What did you do in the garden today?

sage lives a long time in my garden, but over time it gets real gnarly and leggy. I started some new sage this year. My lone old survivor got yanked out, but then I took pity on the poor thing after it sat with it's roots exposed for a few days. cut it back, and planted it nice and deep so the ugly is buried. If it survives, it will produce an other crop of leaves. If not, it's at least had a decent burial.

I have some basil coming up. Need to plant a new row. I do not grow good basil. Also need to plant some cilantro. Have some volunteer seedlings coming up, but not sure if they are cilantro or italian leaf parsley. Based on location, they could be either.

Back is tweaked from working on a broody pen. No gardening, other than watching stuff grow, and watering things here and there. starting a busy work schedule: working 3 days/week for most of the remainder of the summer. This will cut deeply into my "farming" time. Gosh darn it, I hate it that making money has to come before doing home stuff.

Thanks ya'll for the info on sage.
Going to town today will see if I can find some or some seeds.
We got about 5 inches of rain over the last several days. And its supposed to rain today and tomorrow.
I hope I get get to the garden Sunday.
Some of my second planting of seeds came up. Squash, watermelon, eggplant and some herbs.
My grape vines were supposed to arrive today from N.Y. but tracking says delayed. I guess caught up in flood zone.
I checked on the Concord grape cuttings I'm trying to root in the bator and so far there have started rooting. I will leave them a bit longer as they don't have as much growth as I had hoped yet.
