What did you do in the garden today?

I just did a neem oil and DE spray. The stuff won't affect the moths. I'm going to try to remove as many eggs as I can before the next rain, then spray again. Luckily, the eggs come up pretty easily with a little sticky tape.
I have found that the neem oil Doesn’t work as well for the moths and Catapillar’s as it does for the squash bugs and Beatles. But I found something that does. After I used it no moths we’re coming near it anymore. At least that I could see but there were no new eggs. And when I sprayed it directly on the Catapillar I could watch a curl up it just stop. It’s hard to do any kind of bug control with this nonstop rain. I think the bugs know this because they’ll sit there and eat at my plants in the rain. I read somewhere sprinkling fresh coffee grounds Around your squash plants is supposed to help deter the squash bugs. They say the Sent confuses them

And as far as the bath. I can’t do a bath either one reason is just sitting in dirty water and my hair is down to my butt so try to wash hair like that and a bath. But the biggest reason is I don’t know how to relax. As soon as I lay down in there within the first five minutes I’m thinking of all the stuff I could be doing or need to get done. Then I’m stressingWhich kind of defeats part of the purpose. That and I hate water and getting wet. I can’t enjoy a refreshing shower I just take one because I have to

As far as herbs lasting I have found my sage well last year‘s along with my Rosemary and lavender. Last year they did die over the winter but that’s because it was below freezing for about three weeks straight. Even down in the negative sometimes which is close to unheard of for this area. But Yep I go years without having to re-plant sage or Rosemary. And my lavender seems to last for quite a few years to

People here landscape with rosemary--both it and lavender are perennial. My current sage is three years old; it is getting kinda scraggly though.

My cilantro all bolted. I want to start some more (salsa!), but it will do the same. Cilantro is a spring and fall thing for me. The strawberries I started from seed are flowering! I'm excited to see what they taste like. It's interesting--the flowers are hot pink.

We ate getting triple digits here for the next several days. We are going to paint the kitchen this weekend. To hot to be outside. I would like to get my wicking bed changed over to a raised bed but more rain for the next 4 days.
My grape vines got stuck in Ky. From floods so won't be here till Monday.
