Thanks all! The models are all tighter than I've ever seen them. I'm about 90% certain we're getting out of dodge. I'm going to shut my chickens in to my sturdy shed (one small window), with 40 lbs. of feed and 15 gallons of water and hope we can make it for three days. Fingers crossed.

@deepbluesea, good luck my friend! I do not envy you having to go through this. We just had our fire season to deal with over here so if it's not one thing, it's another!! Be safe and raise up your chicken's water if possible so they don't crap in it!!

Thank you. It's a bit more work than we anticipated but worth it I think. The shade needed to happen regardless.

No coop, we're going to put coturnix quail in it. They'll have some shrubs and a brush pile, plus hubs built a little hut for them. I have some buckets and large plant pots I'm going to recycle for hidey holes too.

I managed to get some work done in the quail palace today. Not anywhere near done, but progress. Planted several things but I'm not happy with the hut.

I got almost one whole clump of aloe pulled. That is some serious work! I put two plants in over 8 years ago and they've been reproducing like crazy. One more clump to go, but it's some beautiful soil. I love the smell of good dirt! Ruby and the chick were enjoying some bugs and a cool dirt bath when I came in.

Pulled out 5 jalapenos nice size

Today I am canning 6 pint jars of salsa and 4 half pints of pickled jalapenos. This uses up most of my jalapenos, all of my bell peppers, some anaheims and some cayennes.

Only a million billion more cayennes to go!
