Me too. The city is reaching out to anyone needing warmth during this cold snap. They have warming centers open as well as buses to be warmed up on. (REFERRED TO AS WARMING BUSES.)
I confined my feral cats to my garage, and not letting them out during this extreme cold. My chickens are in there also, for the duration of winter. There is a wood stove that I heat with. Not very warm, but at least mild compared to outdoor temps.
I feed my squirrels and song birds continuously. I also provide water in a heated dog bowl for all other creatures that know it is there. Yes,,,, skunks, opossum and raccoons do get to drink liquid water. I was surprised to see it liquid still even with temps overnight at 0*F. Will see how it does next 2 days when it really drops LOW..

Gonna be cold but not quite that cold. Down to 15* on Thursday windchill is said to be down to -10 at times. We saw a few days like this earlier in the month but luckily it didn't last too long. I'm ready to start thinking about getting seeds started indoors. It started snowing here about an hour ago and is supposed to snow till around 11pm with some on and off rain mixed in. Stay safe and warm everyone!
 
We're gonna drop into single digits (positive highs, negative lows) for about 3 days (starting tonight) then by the end of the week it will be 40*F again. :p

Bedded down all the chickens and bunnies extra deep... Gonna do it again later tonight with a little extra but I wanna minimize trips to the end of the lawn because my yard is a solid ice block right now and it's VERY slick. Even the dogs were sliding all over and they have four legs!

My first order of seeds (the majority of them) came in. Still working on my garden layout for the year. :) Gotta place my secondary tomato order and I'm waiting on my bush beans which are backordered. Seed potatoes also ship late.

I’ve planted over 350 pepper seeds, 72 tomatoes and 254 eggplants and who knows how many lettuce, collards, kale, chard, celery and I’m not sure what else I’ve done in the last three days. :gig :duct
