Today the straw bales come out from around the coop and get spread as deep mulch in the berry portion of the garden. Yup, that's right. A third of the state is underwater, but I can finally see my garden! I'm going in. I might get stuck knee deep in mud, but I'm going in anyway! Besides, my berry plants have shipped. Sigh, so I need to be ready for them.
The rest of the day is getting alpaca manure and bedding hay spread deeply around the apple trees and checking on budding progress to set up my spraying schedule.
Mrs. Fox came sniffing around last night. Bold brat that she is, she came right up the back walk at 430am, ran around the back porch and stopped to peer into the back door.
Sightseeing is fine, no stopping for the chicken buffet. (Is it wrong that I hope her den of kits was flooded out?)
