What did you do in the garden today?

It's happy hour now. Yippee! I finished filling the new raised beds in the main garden and put down more mulch. I still need another 5 bags to smother the grass. It looks like my turnips are starting to sprout. That's exciting. The temps got to 63F here today and sunny, tomorrow 45F and rain. Then more heavy rain moving in overnight Friday into Saturday. I don't plan on much garden work tomorrow or Saturday. I think I'll wait until the heavy rain is over before planting the Here's the latest shot of the garden. I know it's small compared to others but I'm proud of it and I get a lot of food from it. That's why I call it my "Wee Farm."

Bet my garden is no bigger we get veggies from it all year and does not make me take my pain killers but do use my lidocaine allot

Thank you Penny. I prefer ibuprofen and only if I'm in serious pain. The growing season in New England is pretty short, but last year's garden yielded a lot of food. I still have butternut squash and poblano peppers in the freezer, also have pickles and tomato sauce left. With the additional garden beds, I'm hoping to produce enough to last me most of next year. However, I'm just feeding me and the chickens.

It was hot today. No clouds and 76*. I asked myself how do I ever work all summer! I’ve been out in triple digits but today was searing my skin and it zapped my energy big time.
I transplanted a wheelbarrow full of Irises ... I have too many!! Pulled weeds did some trimming hung out with the chickens then ... took a nap.

Have no idea of what you have good grief made and ate dinner pretty simple
had a ham steak in the fridge to use up one of the members posted this I used 1 pablano pepper in it but did like 3 layers 9 eggs and Mozzarella
Leftover ham, Cinco de Mayo

6 eggs (or a dozen)
Two splashes of milk
A little to a lot of ham
2 cups of cheese
Green chilies
Salt and pepper

Whip up your eggs and milk.
Lay tortillas along the bottom of the pan.
Add a layer of ham and cheese, plus some chilies if you are using.
Add another layer of tortillas.
More ham, cheese and chilies.
Add another layer of tortillas. This layer should cover side to side. Tear a few tortillas in strips to get it done.
Pour on the eggs, and sprinkle on the salt, pepper and a good layer of cheese. Cover with foil, and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat the oven to 350° spray a 13x9 pan.
with the foil still on, bake for about 45 minutes. Remove the foil, and bake for another 15 minutes.
