That's cool you're growing in tires! I have a some old ones laying around that aren't being used. I've been thinking I should plant in them, also.

I did so we do not need to bend rarely weed either .. these are the EE I picked up they are in my 3rd coop the smallest but made it so our outside cats cannot access it.. It has two windows covered by hardware cloth and flap latch closures

We also fight them but my birds at least my 4 silky love to eat them

My chickens won't eat them at all. They go straight for the grass and other plants.

Morning everyone most my herbs are perennial

I do both. This year I need to find rosemary to plant. Going to do some researching. Last one I had died after it’s 2nd winter.

Thanks! It has been a lot of work. I moved all the raised beds and the greenhouse is newly put up.

Funny how hard things get when we get older.

I had one I ordered from Burpees. It’s just too cold I guess. Even after babying it with mulch & covering it didn’t take. I’m going to try and find white rosemary it grows upright and it’s blooms are pretty.
I transplanted my thyme in the fall. Cut it wayyy back. It’s coming up now. My absolute favorite herb on chicken.
My banana yucca is starting to bloom it gets about 4’ tall.

So sorry to hear about that! The same thing happened to us a few years ago. The hail was about the size of ping-pong balls. It completely ruined everything, not to mention that same morning before it hailed, my mom and dad had just planted 35 blackberry plants all of which got 100% ruined and never came back. We were also planning on having a farmers market the very next day, but not anymore after it hailed!

Wow, that sounds devastating, lots of time and money lost.
