What did you do in the garden today?

Good grief just why Dad wanted us out here remember watching them on up on the porch coming at the farm he said Moma we gotta go keep the kids safe and we moved here I came back to a Uncles place there in Nebraska for college scared the hell out of Ma

Just did some hoeing and raking in the garden. Not going to till per @Wee Farmer Sarah advice. I have a lot more to do but this aging body said ENOUGH! Strolled the woods briefly and found 8 more morels. I'm officially 'shroomed out!

I used to till my garden every year and could not keep up with the weeds. Then was watching a TV show about gardening and they spoke about not tilling because it sort of "wakes up" the weed seeds. Have not tilled since and with the raised garden beds weeds are few and far between.

Hi @WthrLady, I'm so glad you posted. I heard about the tornado that blew through Nebraska and thought of you. Glad you are OK. I lived in the South for many years and I just had it with tornadoes. I moved to New England, we still get tornadoes here and pretty wicked Nor'easters too. However the tornadoes are not as frequent here as they are in your area.

I got my bed planted.
I went a little overboard.
I sure must like to transplant.
I’m terrible... went looking through my box of seeds and just got carried away.
I planted tomatoes, cilantro, Anaheim peppers, radishes, rosemary and...artichokes! I came across a envelope of seeds I saved from growing them 2 years ago I’ll find out if they’re still good. (I have too many seeds)
