What did you do in the garden today?

Caramel sauce is yummy @Acre4Me. I’m sure it will be fine. The squash looks like pumpkin but perhaps a Hubbard?

I wondered if it was a Franken-squash, seeds from a hybrid growing something altogether new!
But there are hundreds of squashes I’ve never met...

This is my mystery plant. It was supposed to be your average cuke. Its much more yellow irl.

I posted it in the old folks thread & it was thought maybe a lemon cuke, but none had been pollinated to tell, till this one.

A friend stopped by this evening with her 6 year old daughter and I showed them how to get into my garden ( the latch on the gate is NOT very obvious). They will be taking care of my garden for me while I am in Jamaica (July 23 - July 31). Sent her home with a cucumber, a tomato and some eggs that her daughter collected from the coops!
Hubby will be in charge of chickens & turkeys and my friend will be in charge of the garden. Hopefully, all will work out just fine. I pointed out the few eggplant blossoms and told her how I am trying to make sure they don't get knocked off, so hopefully I will have some small eggplants when I get back!!:fl
