What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning gardeners. The garden is still growing and doing OK. I pulled a few weeds yesterday. This morning I picked two yellow squash and a cucumber. No ripe tomatoes yet. I will be pulling the rest of the turnips in the next day or two. Not much on turnips but lots of greens. Thank you @cavemanrich for the suggestion to OFA. By the way, your flowers are lovely. I planted zinnias, dahlias and petunias where the old rhododendrum was and then the heat wave struck. They seem to be doing a bit better now but still not real pretty. Some of the grass seed I planted is actually coming up. And yes @Sueby, one of the first wild things I saw when I moved into this property was a weasel slithering through the yard. That's why I did the best I could with building the chicken coop and run. I've not seen, coyotes or bears which is fine with me. I'm glad to hear you are canning already. Like I said before, likely more than once - everything will ripen at once. Have a great day everyone.

I took some pics today. :)

I do believe he was drunk on the job, he kept falling over!

This was an 'extra' watermelon vine that's now taking over. Still no fruit yet, but lots of flowers.

Yes, I overwinter the bulbs and plant again next year. I just dig them up, clean them off, let them dry for a week and then store then in a box with vermiculite in a cool place. Spritz them with water if they get super dry. I'm no expert and i forget to check on them so they dry out and i get about a 50% survival rate. Lol. But @penny1960 I don't think you can leave them in the ground year round, at least I can't here because it gets to cold.
