Nope, ....southern Baptists. We thought for sure they were Mormon but nope.Not Amish either for sure.

It's one of those great mysteries that good manners just won't let you solve. Y'know, ya just can't walk up to somebody and say 'why do you have so many kids?' without getting told to mind your own danged business.

They are super nice people. Gave us a freezer, butchered chickens for me (I traded them layers for the job), always offering to help us out when we have a big job, just good neighbors.

As a once upon a time OB nurse it boggles my mind though. As a woman, it just makes me feel tired.......and old.

Plus they are all lovely well mannered kids any person would be proud of.

All my aunts and uncles had 8 or 9 aunt Dorothy had 0 she was a teacher so had many loved her she taught us my brother and I, aunt Carol had three aunt Fern my godmother she had three... Aunt Gwen had 8, Ma had three that left aunt Lorraine she had 9 married my Polish and catholic uncle Ed also had two uncles each had 9 there is 2 in my generation that could not bear children only aunt Dorothy from Ma's generation just drew my family tree really was not setting out to

And that is correct. I mentioned that the nursery in Shelton, WA was relatively close to you according to your profile. I'm familiar with the climate there in that I lived in Eastern Washington for 7 years.

Hydrangea blloming issues are actually more likely a stress or pruning issue. They like to be left alone.

Good morning gardeners. No plans for the garden today we're forecasted to get 1 to 1 1/2 inches of rain all day. Plan is to work in the basement. I have a large work table down there that came with the house. I'm finally chipping away at organizing so I can use that table for my plant starter / incubator. Although my boiler keeps the basement relatively warm I will likely invest in a heat mat or two. I really didn't have enough space in my sunroom to start the plants I wanted, so this seems like a good idea. Have a great day everyone.

Hydrangea blloming issues are actually more likely a stress or pruning issue. They like to be left alone.

I haven't pruned them at all. I've had hydrangeas before on other properties. I've never experienced a total non bloom forming plant. I'll try bone meal this next Spring and see if that works. If not, they will be dug up and replaced.
