What did you do in the garden today?

I have a 6 and 7 qt pro. The six I have 4 bowls for and the 3qt add on bowl. I have had days that every bowl and beater is dirty. I toss the metal blades and replaced them with nylon and silicone ones. And a coated bread hook. Their ceramics are too fragile though. They start to chip sharp bits off into food if you don't watch them.

I hope Suzy Q is accepted by the others. I've never had to separate one from the rest of the flock, but have heard that sometimes the one that's been separated is picked on and bullied by the others when it is re-introduced, so hope that doesn't happen to Suzy Q.
I have started supplementing our ladies' layer feed with a few other goodies, since they can't get out to free range in the winter. They've been getting shredded kale, blueberries, apples, pumpkin, etc. May pick up some other treats for them when we go shopping.
Lucky chickens!

I picked up my step daughter this morning and dropped her off downtown to catch a ride to (near) Chicago. She has a new job and unfortunately this trip conflicts with our Polar Express experience that we had already bought tickets for. My granddaughter is going to come ( 2.5 yrs old) and go in place of the step daughter. My step daughter's husband and their son, will still attend with my husband and I. Hopefully, there won't be a problem swapping a child attending in place of an adult. :fl
After I dropped Jess off I went to visit my former sister-in-law. She had breast cancer, beat it but now it is back as bone cancer. Not sure how much longer she has on this earth. :hit She looked good today though! She has lost 30 pounds recently and my other friend with bone cancer told her that that is when you know your time is getting short. Cancer sucks. :he We had a really nice visit.
I came home after that and have been going back and forth between reading a book and playing spider solitaire on my laptop. It's cold and rainy out today and is supposed to be even colder tomorrow ( high of 36 & low of 20). Need to make sure everybody dresses warmly for the Polar Express train ride!

@penny1960 @WthrLady the Kitchen Aid experience store and museum are next to the factory in Ohio. It is fun to see all the colors and see all the accessories. I’ve only been there a couple of times, but went there earlier this year!
From the store: nicely displayed mixers:

then in the lower level are refurbished or floor models or test mixers (exterior color test) for sale - some great deals and lots of colors!
