It's been raining and snowing a good bit of the afternoon. Should be completed by 10pm but just a grassy coating. It was 42 for the high temp today. I received the years first seed catalog from Rohrer seeds today.

definitely the brussle sprouts again this year maybe beefy boy tomato trying totally different salad seed this year as it went to crap last year would like 4 tires of salad fixings all at intervals

I had issue with the worms getting the Brussels sprouts before I did last year. Need to keep my IPM program in check and keep a better lookout.

Except for caulking, filling nail holes, hooking up the sink drain, and having the plumber around to fix the weird shower pipe, I'm done. Really annoyed w light not being centered. (Builders did that - I think they had planned on a smaller cabinet and then went larger.)

Ignore the odd things that the pano camera did to some of the edges.

Don't even get me started on tomatoes!! I'm sure you all remember me whining all last summer about not getting any tomatoes (except for cherry tomatoes)!!

My poor hubby had quite the day today. This past Sunday he and his buddy worked on his buddy's school bus that they are converting to an RV. My hubby was grinding bolts off of the side of the bus. He was wearing eye protection yet he came in that evening and had me look in his eye because he felt like there was something in there.
I of course could not see anything, but I had him rinse it in the shower and use eye drops to try to wash it out. He had me look at his eye multiple times over multiple days with the same results.
So about 5:30 this morning he wakes me up to tell me that he is going to the ER because he knows there is something in his eye. They make him wait 6 hours or so before they finally get around to seeing him. Sure enough, they pull a piece of steel out of his eye. It was in his pupil!Then they tell him he needs to go to St. Louis University hospital to see an eye specialist. This involves more hours of sitting around while they try to get him an appointment. He finally calls to tell me that he has to get there before 3:00 today ( it was already 2:00). He gets there and has to wait but not as long. They pull 2 more pieces of steel out of his eye! They had to enlarge the pupil to get to it. Then they had to scrub the rust ring off of his eyeball because the steel and started to rust in his eye.
They told him multiple times how much it is going to hurt once the numbing agent wears off. They released him but told him to stop at Walgreen's Take Care Clinic and get a tetanus shot on the way home. He had to get 2 prescriptions as well and he has to go back to the eye specialist next Monday!!
Did I mention that he WAS wearing eye protection!
He finally got home around 6 PM. I fixed him some dinner, which he ate and then he went to bed. Poor guy.

OMG! OW! (were they enclosed eye guards or just safely glasses? Poor guy. That's crazy and could have been worse, bright side?

At least he's being looked after.

Yes, I was very glad that he went to the ER!
I am not sure which type of glasses they were. When I saw him using them they looked like the had triangles of plastic blocking the outsides but I don't think they had anything above the eyes.
When he got home he said he was getting some that were like a scuba diving mask before he did any more grinding on the bus. I think that is a good plan!

Someone had mentioned worms and brussel sprouts. I have like 1 pound of BT powder to kill off worms, but is it safe for human health? Or do we spray it on every marketable/consumable and I just shouldn't worry over it?
