What did you do in the garden today?

Almost done. I still need to put the hardware cloth and clips on the ecofloor, the handles on the side, shingle the top with cedar, and the little front bee porch. Then paint the comb falls and I'll be all done.
THe color is about the same as that blue hydrangea if that helps.View attachment 2030701
How was your honey harvest from last year???

I'm having a little bit of shop envy here... ours is so packed it is hard to find anything... of course my sweet DH does all of the "organizing". Plus your shop is bigger than my whole house lol. Wow, deep sigh*** awesome.
Love the lilac bee keep. Very clever! Would love to see your hives in action come spring. Just around the corner folks!!!!

So my hubby bought me some potting soil (or so he thought). I didn’t check the bag since I usually plant my seeds on the ground and not on a pot.

Turns out it wasn’t potting soil it was something else but still good for the ground where you’ll be planting. I had already planted the seeds and I don’t want to pull them out so hopefully they’ll be good. Once they grow bigger and stronger I’ll transfer them to real potting soil and to their own individual pot.

Decided to just put them all in a large one until they get a bit bigger. Here they are, some are already sprouting out of the soil and I barely put them there yesterday.

It is a huge shop. Thank goodness it has TV, heat and a bathroom! I live in there in the winter. It's as close as I can get to 'outside'. I do the organizing and the mess making. It's always a disaster by the end of winter. As soon as it's nice enough to open the giant door on the end, I clean, make sure everything is away and take a leaf blower to the whole thing and blow out the dust, dropped chicken feed, sawdust, and mouse plops.
