What did you do in the garden today?

The wafer things in that banana pudding looked like eggs at first glance. I was like: well that’s interesting...is it for decorating purposes?
Then I saw the ones on the other side and it clicked that they were vanilla crackers
I looked at it and I was like; crap, I probably just gained 5lbs looking at it. :drool

Happy equinox! Our tradition is making banana pudding.

It’s been sunny and warm so the ducklings have spent afternoons outside while I work.

I’m so pooped! I’ve never framed a thing in my life but I framed the Quack shack the last two days. Just need to put on the walls, roof, and door now!

...tomorrow😴

Your framing is spot on great Job !

Good morning! Rain yesterday, last night and more today, along with a lot of wind and falling temps.

Received word that my order from Stark Brothers shipped, unfortunately earlier than I had requested. Also, unfortunately, they were unable to ship one tree (of 2), and sent the “we’re sorry” email at the same time as shipment email, so I had no time to react. I needed both trees bc they are fruit trees that require a pollinator. Sure, I could try again this fall or next spring, but the point was to get these two in the ground and growing at the same time. So far, not happy with the communication with this company (other issues occurred a few months ago). My plan is for 6 -7 trees, and the likelihood that any others will come from that company is low.

Good morning gardeners. Sorry about your tree order @Acre4Me. Is it an option to check with a big box store and see if they have a suitable substitution? The weather is weird today. Spiking into the mid 60's then thunderstorms and dipping temps into the weekend. Fortunately the rain should hold off so I can work a little on the hoop garden. It's too soggy to do much else. I'm planning on contacting a local Food Pantry to see if they accept eggs from backyard farmers. I would like to be able to contribute something for those less fortunate who are struggling. Will see. A suggestion from @IamRainey on another thread - to put up Christmas / holiday lights to try to spread a little cheer. I put my battery powered candles in the front windows and Santa and Frosty are waving from the porch. When you're old you can get away with crazy stuff. So if it gives at least one person a chuckle, that would be a good thing. I don't have any exciting photos of luscious greenery, but I do have these "signs of Spring and re-birth." (BTW: the snow melted overnight. LOL!) Have a great day everyone and stay healthy.

Update: rain will bypass us today!

talked with Stark Brothers and they have same tree in a semi-dwarf size, so we will get that one to go with the one they shipped. So, we will have a same age pollinator pair (Two types of the same fruit tree).

the original order is coming with two types of strawberry plants, and a special “strawberry fertilizer”, which will hopefully be a good addition.
