What did you do in the garden today?

@NewBoots I used a little olive oil, cayenne, parm, garlic & s&p. DH brought some to work & they all loved them, even the guy who hates squash. He said, 'now that's how squash is supposed to taste!' He said they were a little spicy for a couple of the 'girly men' but I think they're perfect. They need to be a little spicy or I'da eaten the whole lot. :lau

I have no idea how long they were in there before we found them but it had to be a while because they tore up my squash! :lau

I am reminded of that old closing the bar saying, "You don't have to go home but you can't stay here!" OMG that was so funny, except for the damage part. I suppose it would be illegal to grab one as send it to freezer camp.

Good afternoon gardeners. @Wee Farmer Sarah what a rotten thing for some creature to do! We got some rain and wind last night and at last check it's only 100* outside. Such a relief. The itty bitties are eating and drinking, the older chicks are sticking their heads through bars trying to steal their food and the broody has no desire for chicks, she just likes to sit apparently. She's roosting at night now that I've taken the eggs and the chicks are out there. Have a good night all.

I’ve had a few Brodie’s that were the same way. Even when they hatched their own eggs they didn’t want anything to do with the chicks.
