I can imagine it does take a lot of water. I can relate to that for sure! Your place there reminds me a lot of a place we liived in CA. We had to have raused beds because of all the rocks. We had a huge grass area in the front and lots of trees. We definitely live in different climates, but it takes a lot of water to keep it this green...beyond our yard is sand, rocks & sagebrush...oh & tumbleweeds, can't forget those!![]()
I hope it makes it! Hibiscus is my favorite flower! I'm so impressed that you can grow any type of a garden in the temps you deal with!Forgot to post these pics. Moved the bigger of the two hibiscus to the shade garden and used some of the old boards from the RV gate to give it shade. It has struggled all summer and a lot of the leaves are crispy. I think there's too much heat radiating from the wall and it got too much sun.

You kinda have to build a forest. Something big to give afternoon shade to stuff underneath because the sun is so hot. I don't really garden in summer, just do my best to maintain what's still around.I hope it makes it! Hibiscus is my favorite flower! Creative gardening! Your garden must start about the time ours is going to sleep! You kinda have to build a forest. Something big to give afternoon shade to stuff underneath because the sun is so hot. I don't really garden in summer, just do my best to maintain what's still around.
