What did you do in the garden today?

MMM.. Apple pie and the gooey goodness!

I made an Apple Cranberry pie a couple of days ago - the recipe was to have a cranberry layer on the bottom, and apples on top, then top crust. It turned out very good - and the apples and cranberry were complimentary to each other!

I added 2 tblsp of corn starch in to keep from souping.. brushed the top with egg white sprinkled brown sugar on it.
Bake at 350 now I have convection oven so baked a good 35 minutes, when I could put a toothpick in pulled it .. oh my I was so thrilled by the flavor I used 6 granny smith and 4 cosmic crisp

Hello gardeners. I cleaned the duck house and yard a bit, then went to Home Depot for some dirt and picked up some strawberries too, will put those in with the herbs. Then found a few shrubs at walmart for the duck yard, something small that only gets to be a couple feet tall with red flowers and some society garlic that I can divide. I’m not going too crazy in there but I’d like a little color. Still looking for a larger something to put in there, maybe a fairy duster. I purchased a 64 gallon pond liner for the ducks last night, it should be here in a couple of weeks. According to the news we’re supposed to have a warmer and drier than usual winter so I’m going to move forward with sowing seeds.

Sounds as if your going to be very busy
‘Tis the season for me. Gotta get going so stuff can grow up before the heat sets in. I’ll be sitting here doing nothing in summer when you all are having fun!
