I was just thinking that tilling may help. I'm not sure if you are for or against tilling, but tilling down 6-8 inches would likely disperse the manure enough so that it's safer for planting. No promises you want see bolting or excessive leaf growth (lack of fruiting).yeah. I didnt do that, just threw it on top so when I went back out there was a very obvious layer of poop and pine straw but I put some effort into mixing it into the dirt a few days ago
This has me thinking also, is it bad to add a nitrogen rich amendment to a bed you anticipate planting peas or beans in? Seeing as they are Nitrogen fixing plants, I'm wondering if it's better to have low Nitrogen where we plant these.
