Anybody of a favorite runner/pole type bean that is good to dry? Ideally it would be easy to source also.
I'm having no luck finding scarlet runners locally and don't want to pay crazy shipping on one pack of seeds. So I'm willing to consider other options if you have them.

I might have scarlets in my stash. I'll look.

I buy different sized bricks and packages depending on what I have on hand, but I think Chewy is always cheaper. Here’s what I ordered last.

so I've got 12-15 in a coffee can filled with compost to be handed out in the next day or two.

I am sooo ready to go work in the garden. Instead, I'm brooming 5" of snow off the roof of the chicken run. Supposed to be very cold this week; highs in the low teens with 0 or below for the wind chill.

I want to go dig for grubs...

No Penny, just a lizard in the block wall that surrounds our backyard. They are everywhere back there now, their population has increased a lot over the years.

I never thought about what runners would look like in water. I figure they would look strange since they stand so upright on land, but they are quite beautiful in their pond.

So far we are getting frost off and on still, and more is predicted to come later next week so a lot of the garden is hon hold until later Feb because of this. Otherwise im wheel barreling mulch around making up new planters for all my stuff this year.
