I'd scheduled a few days off from work last week and I had a full schedule of gardening plans - install the gates that I built, make some raised beds out of landscape timbers that have been sitting around, install a handrail along the steps that go down to the garden, go through my seeds to see what I have and what I need, make some repairs on the wiring of my utility trailer - then Snowmageddon happened.
Or what passes for Snowmageddon in our area - so many folks in other areas have it way worse.
Before the snow hit, I did get two small raised beds installed on either side of the trellis where I'm going to plant kiwi and loofah vines. So a small accomplishment.
The rest of my days off, I stayed inside and tackled my huge sewing pile, and I actually got all of my horse blankets patched and mended, while watching the first two seasons of the "Medici" series on Netflix. LOL, I feel so lazy - but I'm so happy to get those horse blankets done and out of my hair, at least for the moment until the horses start playing around and ripping each others' blankets again.
Two of the tree seedlings I ordered from Gurney's arrived yesterday, the native plum and the redbud. Just in time for me to go back to work - boo. I put their roots in a bucket of water, and hopefully tomorrow I will have time to plant them.
