I planted 5 different varieties of blueberries last year....all rabbiteye and southern highbush. I don't remember which ones I got, exactly, except the pink lemonade! I'm really excited about that one. They are all budding out right now. I should probably pull the buds, but it breaks my heart to do it.
About 3 years ago, I bought some pineberry plants from one of the gardening mags. I had them in small pots and most of them died. The two that remained never flourished at all. When I built my new strawberry tower last summer, I added them on a whim.... Now they are taking over! I'm amazed at how much they have proliferated.... I've seen several posts where people complained that they put off runners like crazy but no berries. I checked mine yesterday and there are at least 3-4 flowers already blooming on them. Now I just need to go pull out the bird netting to keep them safe. Still pondering what to do about potential slugs. I hate slugs.
I still have a TON of planting left to do. I have my tree seedlings from last fall (pomegranate, plum, apple, and lemon). Plus I bought 3 new trees this past weekend - Pink Lady apple tree, a french Plum, and a Belle of Georgia dwarf peach. Need to plant all of those.... On the vegetable side, I have red & yellow onions, squash, chives, scallions, runner beans, watermelon, lettuce, kohlrabi, and pumpkins to plant. I inquired at the nursery about my yacon plants. They are supposed to ship in early April some time.
