What did you do in the garden today?

The Granny Smith apple tree I planted last year in the duck pen is blooming.... 👏

I managed to get maybe another 20 poles cut today. I also transplanted some more daffodils but it will probably take me the rest of the weekend to finish. The few blueberry blooms I left and the strawberries have both started to set fruit. The last picture is one of the native plums I ordered this year.

LOL on all the mail nightmare stories! With that...my beds were delivered & I'm in shock. It's cuz we had a sub today. :gig I got them all together & my back is not happy. I'll level the spot tomorrow that DH dug out with the tractor & get them situated.

My neighbor came over & laughed that I'm gonna try strawberries. He said for 3 years he didn't get a single strawberry because of the chipmunks. I'm thinking I might have to cover them with leftover hardware cloth. I can make up something. Or I can just leave the dog in the garden, they won't survive Patrick!

I used to work in shipping and saw some hilarious names and addresses. I saw "No Such Rd" more than once. And a road named "Street," and a street named "Road." The very best street name I ever was "Jackass Annie Rd." I think it's in Maine somewhere.

Well maybe the road was aptly named? Who are we to judge? 😂🤣😂🤣

ONE INCH! and they follow the scent of the mice, who urinate while they walk everywhere and leave a scent trail. The mink find that tiny hole and VERY quickly enlarge it if they have to. He chewed up and through a rubber floor mat to get to what he though was a mouse hole, but turned out to be hardware cloth. Tried to dig in SIX places around the coop/run, until he found that mouse hole at a corner, where there was a gap in the cloth. Boom. IN.

It's creepy how quiet the coop is with only a dozen birds in there. Can't tell me they don't miss the others. The whole pecking order is screwed up. The rooster has been calling all day. Breaks my heart.

Even the alpacas knew something was wrong. They just watched and watched while I cleaned. Sat and looked. UGH!
Just look how sad.View attachment 2592145
I am so terribly sorry, my heart breaks for you! What a terrible day for you!😢
