What did you do in the garden today?

It's cold and crappy outside. We DESPERATELY need the rain. I've never seen the water so low in the spring. It's as low as it is during the hottest part of summer. Supposed to rain an inch tonight.... But I wish it would warm up and stay there!
It’s so dry here too. I’m really starting to worry about a drought this summer. My garden is at least thousand feet from the hose and uphill at that. I really don’t want to try to haul water if at all possible. I know I couldn’t haul enough for the whole or even half the garden.

I'm worried about the same thing. My garden is at least 500 ft from the house. Last year I was filling milk jugs and putting pinholes in the bottom to allow them to slow water the garden. That got REALLY old after the 2 or 3rd time since there were nearly 2 dozen milk jugs. My neighbor took pity on me and brought me 5 old hoses that he had (who keeps FIVE old hoses???? really???). I have them draped along the pasture fence to keep it off the ground. Still a pain to water but better than the milk jugs.

Nothing in the garden yet today. I need to cut the grass once I finish working. Just one more meeting here soon. The grass is a little long out front so I'll need to bag it. Debating if I want to put the clippings in the chicken and duck runs, compost pile, or as mulch in the garden... Not a conundrum my neighbors would have. They all just mulch the grass with the mower or bag it. I too often mulch with the mower, but only every 2nd or 3rd cut. It creates too much thatch overwise. And I refuse to bag it. I don't even bag the leaves in the fall anymore. Between the runs, the compost and the garden I use all y leaves and ask neighbors for there's.

I put my new wheelbarrow together and trimmed the babies nails. Most did well, but i look like i got attacked 🤣🤣
Not going to work on the bed now with open wounds. I did put homemade lanolin salve on them. so, maybe tomorrow?
Cats are a liquid, so even if you had help, assuming that's what got a manicure/pedicure, still would be blood drawn, lol.

Was it a bobcat you have that is baby? or no one to help ?
Bunnies, but may as well have been a bobcat 🤣. No one to help, but honestly their help doesn't help. This was easier.

So liquid 🤣. But much more powerful. They still need their claws trimmed, but no one to be of any useful help. I wont do them myself so I look like I ran through the roses nearly everyday 👎. The cats aren't even badly behaved, my skin is just thin I guess.
The bunnies are only eight weeks and mostly calm, so I did them myself.

I didn’t do anything in the garden to day. My garden kinda does itself? Things just pop up and bloom throughout the year, I don’t ever do anything to it, and today I saw this gorgeous plant that I wanted to share. It’s like a bush full of hearts.
