What did you do in the garden today?

Managed to mow the place today, got all the irrigation lines checked and set up and repaired. The new apple trees are planted and I'd like at least one more, if not two, to replace two that just are NOT doing well even after a couple of years. One broody hen has been moved to prison.
That sucked up the whole day.
I have a WHOOOOOOLE list of stuff I need to accomplish this next week before DS moves back home. Keep on plugging forward, even when the new lounge chairs on the deck are calling.

I cut the grass out front and realized the need to weed. Too many dandelions or there. They are bad this year. Driving the other day I say a public lawn that was nearly all yellow. I filled a 5 gallon bucket with weeds. Then I broke my new weeding tool. It's the long 3 pronged one with the button to knock off what you pull. One of the portions snapped off. I'll be taking that back to Menards. I just purchased it last weekend.

I feel your pain! I took one lawn mower down to the house in Poplar Bluff to cut the grass for the first time. Well, I guess I hit too many hidden rocks. Now it won't start. So on the next trip I took the weed whacker and was cutting the grass with that, then the motor quit wanting to turn on. So the front of the yard got cut but not either of the sides. Plus, I still have to figure out how to fix the mower and the weed eater (if possible).

Oh and despite covering the starts that were out in the garden, everything died. We had snow on Tuesday and it got really cold for at least 2 nights.

Good evening all. I watered the xeriscape garden and took a few pics. The first is the lemon tree which is getting huge this year. I’m positive the mulch has helped that tremendously but the duck water has been a positive as well. The second pic is the TX sage. I love that stuff! Have a great night!
