I spray 10 to 1 dawn mix in sprayer I use that is I see many that or a beer in little cup lids takes the rest

USDA they loan for outlying areas lower income required.

Rotenone, pyrethrum or neem are organic recommendations for your beetles. They tend to drop to the ground if the plant is disturbed. Maybe put a bucket of water with a little soap in it under the plant, then tap the plant?

Mine would fly right at the house whenever i moved their plants. It sounded like hail

I have pyrethrin and neem on hand. I mixed pyrethrin in the sprayer and went to town. The instructions on my pyrethrin concentrate bottle says to mix 1.6-3.2 ounces onto 10 gallons of water for use on vegetation to treat insects (beetles we're in the list of insects in the instructions too). Well I eye-balled 2 tsp (0.3 oz) into my 1 gallon sprayer and sprayed thoroughly. Seems like such a diluted mixture, but I don't want to overdo it. It says retreat in 7-10 days if the insect problem persists. We will see if this works. The plants are small with just their first set of real leaves so I how this puts a dent into the beetles because the few leaves that exist are getting so beat up.
I may try neem oil next if needed.

Green Beans are coming up here and there . Gourds are sprouting . Had poor germination on the vine crops . Even in cups . More now that it is warmed up . Wild plums set fruit but not the named varieties (frost) . Apples set fruit . Very few sour cherries .

Garden is all in.
I have a couple tomatoes that I'll watch to see if they need replaced. The wind was hard on them yesterday.
60 tomatoes, 60 sunflower, 16 corn, 20 feet of greenbeans, 10 feet of dill and mustard, plus all the grapes, strawberries, onions, blackberries, and horseradish.
BLECH, to much upside down.

So I'll feed it in a couple of days and re-evaluate replacements.

Question on compost tea. My rabbits are in the chicken run and everything falls to the ground, so i cant really use their poo. Can i make compost tea from the chicken poo instead?

They call it manure tea. I've never done it. I imagine it works though. Chicken manure is hot - a lot of nitrogen. So I would imagine a little goes a long way. I watched a YouTube video in which they mix chicken manure with water and use that as a mother if you will, and dilute some of it in a watering can with fresh water to feed their garden plants.

Also, if your rabbits are in cages above the ground can you suspend some fabric or mesh material that would catch the poop but let urine pass through. This way you could use all that great rabbit poop which can go directly on the soil around your plants. Rabbit poop its not nearly as hot as chicken.

Some garden work today. Slow progress. But, have many other things going on, in addition to getting better, so getting the work in as I can.

Strawberries are looking great! Lots of nice strawberries coming along (still green of course). Wondering if I need to work on excluding raccoons or just leave it be. I think some strawberries got taken by coons last year.

My tomato bed got carrots, onions, and marigolds added. Since I didn't crowd the bed with too many tomatoes, it should work out ok.

tomorrow I hope to get more planted.

A few reasons to compost chicken poop:

1. Its hot! So, diluting it will make it better for the plants.

2. It may carry pathogens that can make humans sick. So, even if you use it diluted, it can make people sick, if they eat unwashed fruit/veg from the garden. So, that is a prime reason to compost chicken poop.

3. It might be mixed in with pine shavings. if so, they won't be composted enough if just taken out of the run. But in a tea, that won't matter.

My tomato bed got carrots, onions, and marigolds added.

I have onions in one of my tomato raised rows. I keep meaning to add carrots to the other one. There's room right down the center and I'm pruning this year so that keeps excess tomato leaves out of the way, but I just haven't made it a point to plant the carrots there yet. We have another small bed of carrots, but a staggered planting in two areas would be nice.
