@The Moonshiner its 6:50am, raining, cup#2 here om BYC garden,
I'll be gearing up here soon, ,,
OH boy!, from 9am to 12:30 I cut brush, went through 2 1/2 batteries, it rained, light, not bad, I didnt get to the gate area, I was soaked & cold
But I got this much done, I drug a lot of limbs that were buried. That farthest maple stump is quite tall, and there are deep spots. If you can see the pink field tape thats the property line, I almost have this west line cut.

Good Night,

.by this time it was starting to get dark, so I did one measly chore that had been part of the "plan," pruned the tomatoes. Never got around to stringing them, because I forgot where I left the twine - it was on the kitchen table for some reason - right next to the packet of carrot seeds I'd just replaced because I couldn't find them.
Man, that is so me too! I've lost another pair of scissors out in the yard somewhere, I was tying up tomatoes and I swear the evil yard fairies snatched the thing.

Isn't that satisfying? Go you!
First big harvest this morning with the first picking of squash and green beans!

Ooooh, what is that light green summer squash? Have you grown them before? How's the flavor? And let me say, that picture is lovely garden porn. :)

Rained here all day yesterday so no gardening to speak of and today was a busted grocery run (Walmart pick up system crashed and dropped everyone's orders, what fun) and a short fishing trip (always fun). Also picked up pine shavings at the feed store so tomorrow will be a clean the coop and littles area day. I tried fir chips and they were terrible, might as well as used a cup of sand, totally non absorbent.

The light green is a total mystery. I think it came in a packet of patty pan. I’ll cook it tomorrow and see how it tastes. If it’s good I’ll try to save seed since it’s such a pretty color.

I rarely trust Amazon anymore. I used to buy a ridiculous amount of stuff each year from them. Now most of it is CHEAP Chinese knockoffs. Most of the reviews are fake. And even after spending an embarrassingly exorbitant amount of time trying to weed out the good stuff from the bad, I've noticed that supposedly "reputable" companies disappear overnight on Amazon. Their products show up under a new name with an amazing amount of positive reviews... Just like that. It's a scam fest that gets my blood boiling. I still buy stuff on there but only stuff that I ASSUME is disposable cheap junk. I personally would not trust canning lids from them but that's just me. To each their own.... Just go in with open eyes

I agree. I don't buy on line. I never make the same mistake twice. or at least I try.

The canning lids I bought from Amazon were plastic that I can pop on jars of things I stick in the freezer- I don’t like the rusting metal ones for that. And you are right in your assessment of cheap Chinese goods. Waited two months for my strawberry planter, then canceled order.
