Been up working since 3am.
I LOATHE this shot I got for my hand. 4 hours of sleep per night is all I've had for 5 weeks. I am going to go fricken insane!
2 mile hike just before sunrise and the thunder was glorious. Temp was awesome, humidity was not.
Breakfast, logged in some work and then picked the garden clean of any whiting tomatoes. I managed a bushel that weighs in right were it should at 52 pounds. I'll wrap those in the next couple of days and box them up in the cellar.
Errands in town for 4 hours including the grocery. NEVER again will I go on a Sunday after church lets out, EVER.
Came home and gutted the garden as the tomatoes are showing disease and stress I can't treat for and they can't bounce back from this late in the year-blight and BERot mostly. The amount of rain this year, I just couldn't keep up with the calcium and gypsum.
I'm only a few days early on calling it done.
I trimmed back the grape vine and gave those to the alpacas. You'd think it was Christmas.
My old hen kept me company in the garden with the gate shut. She's the only one allowed in there and she managed several slimy worms, lord knows what down the 3 inch hole she dug, several grubs, a fat grasshopper, and 12 wrinkly hidden alcoholic grapes. I bet she's a mean drunk.
The luffa now has free reign over the 3 cattle panels it has spread to. Lord help you if you get to close to it. The amount it grows in a day is crazy!
Beans are dry.
Peppers are ready this week to trim and move inside.
Back corner still needs cleared of grasses and zinnias and I'll put up another cattle panel there to let the grape go the full 30 feet of the back of the garden.
Anyway, hope you all had a productive weekend.
