Processed rabbits yesterday, so glad when that task is done. Packaged backstrap, and 4 legs, and they all weighed out at 2 1/2 pounds which is just about perfect. Plus I think I have enough flank to make a batch of jerky.
Just got back from a shopping run, the ladies got a couple cheap (.99 a bunch) bunches of kale (their favorite) and I got a tray of celery seedlings. We never get enough to make them useful for us but the rabbits love the stuff.
We're having friends over tomorrow (all vaccinated and boosted) and I'm making stuffed manicotti. I made some meatballs last night and the pasta sauce has been in the crockpot all day, now I need to assemble the manicotti and stick it in the fridge for cooking tomorrow.

I got a tiny bit of regular broccoli last year but none of the cole veg are worth growing here, the cabbage loopers are active about 10 to 11 months of the year and I don't want to mess with row covers. They make keeping up with the weeding too much hassle. And they don't stop the slugs and worms from getting inside.I just read about broccolini. Anyone ever grown that?
