Morning all. I’m wishing you all the best with getting a diagnosis @Sueby. Not knowing is sometimes worse. Snowing like crazy here. It started around 5 am and accumulating fast. I just finished off the first shoveling 1/2 hour ago and there was already 4 inches in the ground. I finished feeding and changing the chicken waterers and by then there’s close to an inch where I shoveled already. Fortunately it’s light and fluffy right now. Keeping chickens for eggs is always a good idea these days. I keep my rooster around and a nice incubator on hand in case things get real bad. And yes, I’m a bit of a prepper as well. I have always thought of it as long range planning. Lol! My upright freezer is usually pretty much full and I still have frozen produce and canned goods from last years garden. You just never know, stuff happens.
I am just a sale buyer of things that won't go bad & you can't beat the price of meat buying a half a cow. My only wish would be raising meat birds here. But I did stock up on turkeys after Thanksgiving at 49 cents a lb!
