What did you do in the garden today?

It seems yall hang out together and know each other pretty well so I hate to crash but in searching gardening board it seems this is best place to ask my questions...
Crash away - we like new gardeners! I don't have anything to add to the advice given above. I will stress what @Acre4Me said about burying the stems of the tomatoes though. Def do this, it makes them much stronger.

I ordered some sage seeds for the aero garden. :D Gosh do I love sage. My new favorite is frying it then adding it to cauliflower risotto. Yum. I'm going to stop at the garden store when Patrick goes to the vet - I need some potting soil & some pansies. We'll see what I actually walk out with. :gig

I assume you just have the plants in a bright room?.. no grow lights? That is the cause for the leggy seedlings, they are deprived of light and are reaching out, starting seeds indoors the bright concentrated light must be close to the plants (3-6 inches above them.. they should be fine if you support them for a few weeks before planting, they may become top heavy and want to lay over.. cucumbers, squash, beans, peas, etc should be directly sown in the ground. They grow so fast they will be a tangled mess when they grow into each other and hard to transplant later..
Yeah wasn't sure what to get grow light or the expense of it...any suggestions?

Amazon has some very nice and very affordable LEDs, simple to install and easy to use, small footprint with great light coverage.. no glass bulbs to break and not bulky at all.. I retired my old lights and this is my first time to use these.. I’m very happy so far.. I’ll look and see what brand and get back to you..

My basic setup.

A desk lamp fitted with LED grow light on top shelf. Light bought at either rural king or Menards.

Four LED panel lights bought on Amazon. I need to add the other two I have. They are thin. Notice my cookie cooling racks? Yes, put the tomatoes on those, and also had some thin boxes they had been sitting on until they grew a bit taller. I often turn the trays a few times a day and run my hands over the starts gently to help toughen them up like they would with a little wind. I could use a fan, but no good place to add one right now, and spouse is on crutches right now, so no need to add navigation problems.

These are 6 of the T8 full spectrum led light strips, I got the 2 ft (come in 4ft too) sections, linked together to a single on/off switch, or you can use them with a single switch with 2 lights, they came with 6 link cables and 3 seperate switches/plugs.. very affordable, it was around
