Anyone ever used algae as a fertilizer or supplement in the garden? I have a pond that gets algae scum on it. Someone gave me the idea of using a pool skimmer to collect it and maybe use it in the garden?

I get grow bags off of amazon. Super cheap for many of my tomatoes! I got 8 five gallon grow bags for $20 just a few weeks ago. Shop around on amazon.. look for best deal.I have 15 ft of bed space for tomatoes, along with 2 tire beds. I have 17 tomato starts...I've been trying to decide how I want to prioritize what goes where. I'm thinking 10 plants should fit in the bed space, 1 in each tire planter... Then maybe try to track down some extra 5 gallon buckets for the remaining 5? I hate throwing out perfectly good starts....
Would that make them Australian Walking Onions?Took a walk thru the garden between rain drops - I planted 3 Egyptian Walking Onions upside down.Yep, fixed em.
The garden store had nothing interesting. I walked out with a flat of pansies & a big bag of potting soil.
