What did you do in the garden today?

Nope. Next I’ll have to check in the woods. I couldn’t do that it earlier because my body was threatening to throw me on the ground (bad back), so I retreated to the house.

It may not have flown but dropped straight down . I had a high wheeled mower lose a blade that way . Belt twist the wrong way and blade ran wrong way making the bolt loosen .

I got nothing done in the garden. I should have, I suppose, but I really needed some sunshine to motivate me, and none appeared.

Rain tomorrow, nice on Wednesday. So tomorrow I'll putter around inside and maybe do the shopping.

We got 3/4 inch of skywater last night/this mornin.. today was last decent day (except for 20-25 mph winds) so I went fishin.. caught 3 keeper channel cats and lost 2 keepers, threw 5 little ones back.. better than a sharp stick in the eye I reckon.. storms coming rest of the week.. so I hope no hail falls on me.. that’s a bad deal a big hail storm on a young tender garden.. hope everyone is good and has a great week..

Tomorrow is going to be a chilly, rainy day. I might just go do the grocery shopping and not waste the nice days "they" promised were coming on Wednesday and Thursday.

I didn't get diddly done. Oh. I got the dishes done. Wheeeeee. Totally unimpressed with myself. I need some sunshine. I might be part plant, maybe?

It's been pouring all day but we finally got a little break and I went out and took some pictures.

Here's the pretty columbine I got yesterday. It was already a bit bedraggled because the kids at Home Depot weren't caring for it properly and now battered by the storms but I expect it will bounce back.

Here's a picture of the new raised beds. I still need to finish putting soil in it and securing the lattice so it doesn't flop over. I got my runner beans in the end and then realized too late that I was going to put them in the middle. Oh well! This is what happens when you get pressed for time.

Here's the new raised beds for the new raspberries. See the asparagus flopping over and invading their territory? Squatters.

Lastly, I bought these green onions at the grocery store and then never got around to using them. They were pretty slimy but still had root tips so instead of chucking them in the compost, I planted them. They rebounded really well... Notice several look like they are going to flower? Think I should snip those off or just let them go? Maybe they will seed new onions?
