What did you do in the garden today?

Banana. It’s headed to the shade garden but I need help carrying the pot.

I’ve managed to clear the utility table and ordered a larger cabinet for kitchen gadget storage. My mom gave me her Kitchen Aid and it has all the attachments including dough hooks and meat grinder, but I’m still debating about whether to keep a few things. My mom is the queen of kitchen gadgets! Trimmed the indoor plants and watered the poor things. I’m ditching the peace lily, not my cup of tea, and moved the palm and spider plant to the extra room for more light. I’m going to transplant the palm into a bigger pot now and working on my grocery list as I think of things. Still procrastinating about stuff though.

Not much energy beyond pulling a couple of tomatoes from the greenhouse and shoving them in dirt into the hoophouse.
Planted the grape and the raspberry outside.
The hoophouse peas look awful, might just pull them out and plop in tomatoes.
Up-sized the poitsettia plant and put her in the greenhouse. She was root bound.
I was going to up-size tomatoes today, but the winds are over 35mph, and that's too hard to work in with delicate plants.
That's all for gardening today. 4.2 inches of rain in the past week. More storms tonight.

OH, weird holes popping up all around the chicken garden. I THINK it's hatching giant june beetles. The holes are about as big around as a nickel. Either that, or a whole bunch of baby snakes hatched this week with the rains. It's something digging out, not something digging down and in.

I'm away on vacation for a week. Looking at the forecast, it's going to be up around 90 at home. Hoping that helps some of this excess water dry up.

On another front, this is my favorite time of the year! 😍 Found these today. Will look again tomorrow...
