We were able to finish up the garden most of the way today. Most things are in minus some greens. Corn/squash/beans went in together. Lots of beans along the fence line to climb there. Lots of herbs. Greens will be going in a little later as well as strawberries. Two honey crisp trees went in as well. We start a bit later here as we’ve been hit with frosts at the end of May. I will need to top dress with compost in some areas. I went a bit thin in spots while spreading the stuff we had ordered. Woops!
Chickens are still stuck inside but should be out within a week or so. They seem to be taking confinement Ok, but I wished they were able to run around outside. Soon.
Lots of rain here. Starting archery soon to get ready for hunting season in September. Hopefully another successful year and another full freezer. That is a wonderful thing to have.
All the best.

Of course neither her or my brother had listened to me on placement, so it is a full acre away from the house. And at least 300' from a water source.
They are already regreting that. Finished out my day with cleaning out the hoop coop for the meat chicks, and cleaning and moving my layers coop to its summer location. Fun times. But the job is done and the birds are happy. So will my garden be next year, love having homemade fertilizer!
