What did you do in the garden today?

Today I pretty much only watered. I put some more cayenne spray for the squirrels, and acclimated some seedlings for about an hour or two.

My pepper plants are getting really tall, I should probably transplant them soon. Same with my cucumbers, but they're both still being acclimated.

One of my strawberries is also turning red, so it better not be eaten again. My peas should also be ready to harvest soon, I can't wait for those! :drool

I have this problem! How do you tie them up? Can you post a picture, please?
This is what I did. I put two stakes in the ground on either side of the asparagus patch. Then I took twine and strung it across. If you zoom in and look at the left, you should hopefully be able to see the small stake and the brown twine. If it didn’t stay I would have put a second string 6 inches higher.

Nice. I'm pretty sure that I keep picking my radishes a little early, but oh well, they still taste good. I just picked one today, I still got to find something to do with it. A lesson learned yesterday- never leave your radish on the counter over night. Mine went mushy and in-edible. :(

I went to check on the Vitex, been watching those because I took the shades off. They look just fine and what I thought was a wilted leaf yesterday is actually a broken stem. Those things are amazing, I was positive I’d killed them when I transplanted the second time. The smallest lilac is looking rough still, I think I’m going to pile on some more hay and make a berm around it for now. Probably more compost too. It’s windy again this afternoon and I am trying to switch to Claritin from Zyrtec; my nose is stuffy and I’m tired. Going to make the coleslaw dressing and then have a nap maybe. Take care all.

I'm off all allergy meds and I am miserable today. I feel like a spacey, congested, slug. I feel your misery :::hugs:::

Ah! I wish my asparagus ran along the fence, instead of perpendicular to it. But you have given me a great idea, so thank you.

Speaking of asparagus.... I have declared all out war on asparagus beetles for the last several years. I think the tide is turning, and I might be winning! This is the fewest beetles I've seen. I also remove the eggs they lay on the plants. And the few eggs I miss that hatch into those UG-LEEE!!! sluggy things? I wear gloves and squish them.
