I just did the math and my potatoes are at 90 days. They're Yukon golds, so everything I'm seeing says after 100 days. Sounds like I need to get the next round in the ground pretty much now (within a week at most) to get a second harvest at full size before first frost.
But! My plants only have a tiny bit of dieback happening and I'm used to seeing fully yellow potato plants before digging them. Hmm. Admittedly my Papa never grew Yukon golds, so I'm used to digging Russets. Will the Yukon yellow up before they need digging as well?
Mint is looking a bit bedraggled. It was almost totally wilted last night but bounced back a bit overnight. I'll try to feed the garden early tomorrow. With a little luck I'll be able to get some weeding done tonight or tomorrow.
Yesterday DH and I got a bunch of 2 inch plant pots seeded. Some okra, some cucumber, some corn, lettuce, mizuna, bee balm, yarrow. We've still got a good chunk of the season left so we'll see what happens. Giant experiment, lol. Oh, seeded pumpkins too. Sweet pie pumpkins!
