Nope, def chewed from the bottom up.Are you sure that "critter" wasn't the Japanese Beetles in the bag? They will eat through the bottom of the bag. My traps are actually metal cans with holes in the sides. No JB gets out on its own.
Good job. I can feel my hips expanding already. Lol!Thanks for that! I don't really have a recipe, I just use whatever I feel like that day or whatever I have on hand that's fresh.

Got 30.5 pints of jam. Mostly strawberry rhubarb but then quite a few strawberry jalapeno too. I was afraid the latter was going to have to be cooked again, took a long time to thicken up but it's looking better.I have enough strawberries to do another batch, maybe tomorrow...

Your weeds look like lamb's quarter, aka "fat hen" plants. Chickens adore them. If I've identified them properly that is. If you want, have a look at them online. They taste a bit like spinach. Same family I believe.I need to figure out where to put my mole trap in the garden (after I've oiled it). I brought it up to the porch with the lock on as a reminder, and, of course, the pupper wanted to pull off the orange ribbon, knocked it over, it went off, and flung about 3 feet into the air. Sooo.... I won't ever let her get that close again.
Pictures!

Not from my jam - no sugar! I use plant based sweeteners like monk fruit or allulose & only a smidgeon of what regular recipes use. 12 pints has 2.5 cups of sweetener. I prefer to taste the fruit, not the sugar.Good job. I can feel my hips expanding already. Lol!
