Oooo! Post recipes? Here's the one for Ranch dressing.

1/2 cup mayo
1/2 sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 TBS lemon juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp seasalt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup fresh snipped dill or 2 tsp dry
1/4 cup fresh chives or 2 tsp dry
1/4 cup fresh snipped parsley or 2 tsp dry

Mix all and store in the fridge.
Thanks for that! I don't really have a recipe, I just use whatever I feel like that day or whatever I have on hand that's fresh.
Are you sure that "critter" wasn't the Japanese Beetles in the bag? They will eat through the bottom of the bag. My traps are actually metal cans with holes in the sides. No JB gets out on its own.
Nope, def chewed from the bottom up.

Got 30.5 pints of jam. Mostly strawberry rhubarb but then quite a few strawberry jalapeno too. I was afraid the latter was going to have to be cooked again, took a long time to thicken up but it's looking better. 🤞 I have enough strawberries to do another batch, maybe tomorrow...

Good job. I can feel my hips expanding already. Lol!

I need to figure out where to put my mole trap in the garden (after I've oiled it). I brought it up to the porch with the lock on as a reminder, and, of course, the pupper wanted to pull off the orange ribbon, knocked it over, it went off, and flung about 3 feet into the air. Sooo.... I won't ever let her get that close again.
Pictures!

Your weeds look like lamb's quarter, aka "fat hen" plants. Chickens adore them. If I've identified them properly that is. If you want, have a look at them online. They taste a bit like spinach. Same family I believe.

My feet hurt 😩. All day in sandals, gardening, and the sandals are OLD, so not doing myself any favors.

Ok, whine over.

We expanded the covered space for the one pumpkin-it’s vining, with large leaves. The other two types aren't as big yet. We weeded all over , we thinned rutabaga, we thinned carrots, we trimmed black plastic around 60 sweet potato starts, removed some of the wood weighing down the black plastic, we moved rocks around, we hunted Japanese beetles, we watered, we removed all strawberries from the old bed, added compost, probably more things too. It’s been a busy, outdoor day.

Now to check out what leftovers are in the fridge. Hmmmm…with all those red onions I picked yesterday maybe some egg salad is in my future.

Tied up the tomatoes today, must’ve missed a few suckers because some have double stems now so I added an extra stake for the second side. Doing a combo of Florida weave & string training. The tomatoes in my raised beds are HUGE (width wise), compared to those in the rows, but they have the same amount of tomatoes on them and are about the same height. The clay soil is tough to grow in but I feed the holes I dig well so they may not look lush but they do a good job producing!

We finally got a wittal bitta rain...and I do mean a wittal bit!
Went down to give electrolytes to babies and saw 3 onions stems all dead and poking up outta soil...not very big at all but hey my first time ever growing anything like that! So I'll take it!
Um....so now what do I do with em!? Lol
Do I just let em air dry? Or what?
I've seen where yall hang up garlic...but what u do with onions? They are just yellow ones.
