What did you do in the garden today?

Someone got offended. I think. I posted about a deleted post and why you DO NOT. Throw. Anything. In. A farmers. Field. Without. Permission.
Some woman was bragging about getting free pumpkins this year because she had thrown her old pumkins in the neighbors field, since she knew they would compost. Multiple piles of pumpkin plants in a farmers soybean crop.

Well dang that's messed up!

You didn’t like the rattlesnake beans? Good to know but why not? Do they taste like Lima beans? Please say no.
The leaves are turning yellow, then brown & falling off - all the other types of beans in that bed are fine so I have no idea what they want &, quite honestly, don't have it in me to bother caring! The beans inside get too big for me to enjoy - even when they're small. & they go from ready to stringy in a day. The taste isn't bad though. I may just be picky. :lau

& y'all are much better people than me - I don't answer the door! I look out the window at them, shake my head no & just don't open the door. LOL. I once freaked out on a JW. They walked up to me in the middle of my property, past my no soliciting sign, while I was outside working on pulling bushes with the winch on my jeep (which can be dangerous & they had no business being anywhere near). They had the nerve to argue with me when I told them to go away. It was 100 degrees out & they had a poor little 5 year old dressed up in a full suit walking with them. Get outta here...

I got an instant pot brand, I hope it lives up to all the rage.
I LOVE my Instant Pot. So much so that I have two. The 6 qt and the 8qt. I use the 6 way more, but the 8 is what I need when I make bone broth or want to cook a bunch of beans or a whole chicken.

I also got the air fryer lid for the 6 qt. We use that a lot for potatoes. And we will probably be using it even more, because I think we're going to have a LOT of potatoes. :)

I made lentil soup today, and it is fantastic.

I did some research before I bought the seeds and the variety I got was Tennessee Red Valencia. Supposedly they are the variety that is typically grown in West Texas/ New Mexico. So I'm hoping they will do good in the extraordinarily dry conditions we are in this year. Also they are supposed to mature @ about 90-100 days versus 120-150 days of others.
I bought my seed from Hancock seeds where I get a lot of my cover crop seeds
I also bought this variety. I felt it was too late in the summer to plant them now so I was going to hold onto them until next spring. This will be my first time planting peanuts.

Do you brush her? Frank hates a brush, but hubs got these gloves that are awesome and they end up with tons of hair in them. Here’s a link

Yes, we take her outside to brush her because of the massive amount of hair. She has a double coat so it's thick. We have some of those grooming gloves. I use them on the horses when we bathe them. Haven't ever used them on Freya because I never remember to bring them up from the barn. 🙄

Actually now that I'm thinking about it. I got put in temporary Facebook jail when I was talking about a certain gardening tool. I was accused of bullying. 😏
I think I'm the only person under 60 who doesn't have and has never had a social media account with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, et al.

I'm on my 3rd one in 3 yrs... Can't say much on longevity but the Instant Pot has become a necessity in our house.

Well, considering I started a YouTube channel this year I'm not actually that far behind you because before this year, all I had was Facebook and it was just to keep in touch with family. Still haven't used any of the others, lol.
