Took a fall in the coop banged the knee up one deeper wound on the lower leg. I will be fine put silver on all of them .. no more bleeding but 2 bled good.
That was closing the coop for the night.

Good morning all. It’s almost 0200 and I’ve been up for almost an hour. Heard some thunder and saw flashes of lightning, then we got a good steady rain, enough to puddle in some areas from what I can see right now.

I did get the bromide spray so went to the garden and sprayed the blossoms... Crossing my fingers ?

Let ne know how it does...I didn't get it yet.
But may need to...so many blossoms are tomatoless and 2 more "catfaces"!

It's beautiful out now, 60s & no humidity. We didn't get any rain, of course, so I watered.

I pulled a zucchini that wasn't producing & I think not getting enough light. I have to rethink those 2 hoop beds, the ones in the back just don't get the light when the ones in the front get big. But I trimmed up all the squashes & tied them up again.

I fertilized last night.

@Sueby I accidentally cut a romaine a little too high a few weeks ago instead of down by the root, and it started growing back new leaves! Not as big as the originals, but I will be able to have small salads until it cools enough to plant more lettuce here. Just a thought for next year! An accidental bonus! I cut the other head up higher after I saw what happened, so I have 2 baby romaine lettuce heads growing!

That's how I cut all my lettuce! I only do loose leaf & I just cut the whole thing down & it will regrow, usually just once.

I still have one in broody jail, she's still insane, bit me when I went to change her water. I finally put the 2 I had in the small coop because of soft shell probs back in with the others. It's do or die here soft shell chicken. I can't keep 2 coops any longer, it's too much extra work & I'm thinking of doing a batch of meat birds up there for the fall.

Planted hollock seed in pots . I usually let them reseed but I need more plants . So I will see if they come up this year or next . Surface sowed as they need light to germinate . Mowed some trails with the brush mower . Really overgrown since late May mowing .

Cut this morning!!! This is HUGE for me! This is my third year with a garden in Montana and last year I got 1 zucchini for the whole year, first year zero, so 4 in one morning is HUGE!!!! Yay!!! And I've never had a summer squash from my garden!!!

You're doing better with them than I am with carrots. After the local deer started munching on their tops this ended up being the sum total of my harvest (shown with one of my "Lemon" jalapeños for scale). I mean, of all the things to end up a complete failure....carrots.

The new hose I bought this weekend is too short. I was only able to water 2/3rd of the garden because I couldn't reach the rest. Dang it....

Well the good news is that it is SUPPOSED to start raining here tomorrow sometime so hopefully we will get a good soaker to get me by until next weekend. It's always something...
